CHL Rankings November 2012

The Hockey Fanatic is pleased to launch our monthly rankings of the top teams in the Canadian Hockey League. The CHL is made up of three hockey leagues:

  • The Quebec Major Junior League (QMJHL)
  • The Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
  • The Western Hockey League (WHL)

Each monthly we rank to the top teams in the CHL. The Canadian Hockey League consists of 60 teams in the three leagues. Each monthly we rank #60 through to #1.  Last month’s honor belonged to the WHL’s Kamploops Blazers, let’s take a look at who reigned supreme in the CHL for the month of November.

Based on winning percentage here are the CHL rankings for November 2012.

  1. halifax mooseheadsHalifax, Mooseheads – twenty-one wins in twenty five games with a .860 winning percentage has the Mooseheads at the top of our rankings for November.
  2. portland winterhawksPortland Winterhawks – an .820 winning percentage makes the Portland Winterhawks the top team in the Western Hockey League as we near the end of November.
  3. blainville-boisbriand armadaBlainville-Boisbriand, Armada – a 20-5-0-2 record is good enough for third place this month.  The Armada have gone 8-2 in their last ten.
  4. quebec remparts

    Québec, Remparts – the Remparts were fourth last month and retain the fourth spot in November with a 19-5-0-1 record.

  5. London KnightsLondon Knights – the Knights were 22nd in October, a strong November has them rounding out our top five this month.  The Knights have won 11 in a row at this time of this writing.
