Ten years ago the Hockey Fanatic polled hockey fans to see which NHL right-winger they felt was the best in the game. In 2012, we had Jordan Eberle, then of the Edmonton Oilers ranked as the best right-winger in the game. Well it was time to update our list. Here is a look a the top twenty right-wingers in the NHL today.
Top 20 NHL Right Wingers 2022/23
Here is an update to our Top 20 NHL right wingers list for 2022/23. Based mainly on point production but factoring in points per game averages, time on ice and other metrics as well.
#1. Mitch Marner – Toronto Maple Leafs – Marner leads all right-wingers in points over the past two season with 157 including 103 assists.
#2. Nikita Kucherov – Tampa Bay Lightning – Kucherov leads all NHL right wingers with a points-per-game average of 1.48 over his last 95 games played.
#3. Mikko Rantanen – Colorado Avalanche – a close second to Marner in points with 153, Rantanen has scored 70 goals during the past two season (as of this writing).
#4. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – Pasta has scored 78 goals over the past two season the most of any NHL right-winger through the halfway point of the 2022/23 NHL season.
#5. Mats Zuccarello – Minnesota Wild – Zuccarello ranks fifth in points-pr-game for right wingers with a 1.09 PPG over the past two season as he has amassed 127 points during this time.

Jordan Eberle is the only right-winger still on our list having dropped to the #18 position.
