Continuing with our look at predictions for the 2012-2013 NHL season (providing there is one), we look at the Montreal Canadiens. Last season the Habs finished 28th overall with a .476 winning percentage. With a new GM, a new coach and some added toughness the Canadiens should be better as they attempt to redefine their team.
Last year the Canadiens finished last in the East.
2011-12 Finish | Team | GP | W | L | OT | PTS. | Win % | Goals per Game | Goals Against per Game |
28 | MONTREAL | 82 | 31 | 35 | 16 | 78 | 0.476 | 2.52 | 2.61 |
30 Teams in 30 Posts: Montreal Canadiens
Finishing last in the Eastern conference ensured that the Canadiens received a high draft pick. The Habs had the third overall pick which they used to select Alex Galchenyuk from the Sarnia Sting.
We think the Montreal Canadiens will improve upon last years performance but will still be hard pressed to make the playoffs in the East.
