This list is for current NHL teams only which means that some players from defunct teams that would typically be on this list may not show up. For some teams compiling these lists was relatively easy (see: Seattle and Vegas) for others (see: Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers), it was quite challenging.
