Well the first month of the 2012-2013 NHL season is in the books although it only started on January 13th and the Hockey Fanatic is pleased to present our first installment of our monthly NHL rankings. Each month we rate the 30 NHL teams based on performance as well as our own personal “Hockey Fan Wow Factor”. The Hockey Fan Wow Factor is a score as to how entertaining the NHL teams are.
NHL Rankings – January 2013
- San Jose Sharks – off to their best start in team history at 7-0, the Sharks are tearing it up in the NHL shortened season. Pacing the Sharks in the early going have been Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski.
- Chicago Blackhawks – another nice start by the Blackhawks who had yet to lose in regulation at the time of this post.
- Boston Bruins – da Bruins with Tukka Rask starting in net.
- Tampa Bay Lightning – a great start for the Lightning. Rookie Cory Conacher is an early Calder favorite.
- St. Louis Blues – continuing where they left off last year.
