Today is the final NHL game that will be played at Edmonton’s Rexall Place.  I grew up in the small Northern Alberta town of Grande Cache where the Oilers were the closest NHL team.  I have fond memories of my parents taking me to my first ever NHL hockey game in Edmonton.  Northlands Coliseum seemed like a giant palace to me at the time.  I’ll have a more detailed post with my top ten memories of Northlands Coliseum / Skyreach Centre / Rexall Place.
