Did You Know? The Pittsburgh Penguins did not have a captain from 1968-1973. Centerman Ron Schock became the Penguins second captain in 1973 after the team did not feature a captain in the previous four+ seasons. Schock’s best season with the Penguins was 1974-75 where he amassed 86 points in 80 games for the team.
