Early 2016 NHL Standings

The NHL season is a couple weeks in and the Canadian teams are off to a great start.  The Edmonton Oilers for example were off to their first 5-1 start since 1985/86.  Montreal is atop of the NHL standings and the Vancouver Canucks are fifth overall with a 4-1-1 start.  Some interesting teams at the bottom of the standings with Nashville and Los Angeles being among the cellar dwellers.

NHL 2016-2017

Thumbs up to the Oilers, Canucks and Detroit Red Wings.  Slow starts for teams like San Jose, Dallas, Anaheim and Los Angeles.
